BC PNP invites 140 candidates in its latest draw

The British Columbia immigration, in its latest draw held on June 7, issued 140 invitations through three categories via the BC PNP.  The BC PNP offers interested candidates three ways to apply for PR. Each pathway is categorized into several different categories candidates can apply in. Choosing the category depends on your NOC skill level, work experience, type of job, etc.   The first draw invited 125 skilled workers and international graduates from the BC PNP Tech stream who had scored at least 85 points. The second draw targeted healthcare workers and invited less than 5 candidates who had a minimum score of 60 points. New Brunswick pauses applications for the Provincial Nominee Program

The province of New Brunswick has announced that it will be pausing applications to the provincial Express Entry stream until it can reduce the backlog due to an unprecedented surge in applications.    Quote by Immigration Minister Arlene Dunn: “The province has seen exponential population growth over the last year and we are happy to see this continue in unprecedented applications to our programming. Ottawa announces an investment of $1.5 million to be spent on new immigrant healthcare workers

Ottawa has announced that investments of more than $1.5 million will be made to help foreign-trained healthcare professionals get their credentials assessed and recognized. The creation of an integrated platform will help them get important information and aid them in successfully integrating into Canada’s job market and communities.   This project aims to identify and provide solutions to the problems faced by immigrant healthcare professionals in getting their credentials recognized. Third plane carrying 319 Ukrainian refugees arrives in Halifax

Canada’s Immigration Minister Sean Fraser has announced that the third plane under the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel, carrying 306 Ukrainian refugees has arrived at Halifax’s Stanfield International Airport. Introducing the TRP Holder Class

A TRP (Temporary Resident Permit) is a document that authorizes a person who is inadmissible for a work or student visa to enter or stay in Canada. These are issued for people who do not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act to enter or stay in Canada as temporary or permanent residents.    If a person traveling to Canada is deemed inadmissible, the family they are traveling with may also not be allowed to enter the country. The candidate along with all their family members must apply for their own Temporary Resident Permits before they enter Canada.   The TRP is only issued in exceptional circumstances by IRCC and allows people who are inadmissible for other visas or permits to visit or stay in Canada.
